Dundee
14thMarch
Our day meeting this year was in Dundee in March, where we Blew Our Minds! We started the day at the Dundee Science Sensation Center and had great fun doing the activities there. Then we walked to a Guide Hall and had lunch served to us by the local Guides doing their Changing the World challenge, its was really tasty.
After our lunch we started to make our volcano! It was made of papier-machie and was very messy and very fun. We left it to dry while we went on to make bath bombs. Sill not sure if we got the mix right but some of them worked wonderfully, others started to fizz a bit early. But they were great to make! Our volcano was now dry so we gathered round to set it off! We added red food colouring to make it even better!
After the excitement of making bath bombs and setting a volcano off we started our consultation over some tea, juice and biscuits. We spoke about the new Senior Section website, age barriers, Changing the World, Innovate and lots of other things about Guiding. We also asked everyone about Polaris and where we want to go and what we want to do! We got some great feedback and loads of great ideas for other Polaris events!
